Two clear modes

Don't type,
just speak.

Press Fn once to start and again to send. Normal dictation stays fast and uses the speech transcript as-is. It never calls a text model.

Use Fn + Option when you want Smart Dictation to follow spoken instructions and produce finished text. If the Smart edit fails, Vibe Read keeps the raw transcript.

  • Works across Mac apps
  • Local history you control
  • No Vibe Read server

One shortcut.
Your tools.

Add, edit, or delete the actions you want. Press Cmd + E anywhere to open them, or rebind the shortcut.

Configurable

Make Cmd + E
yours.

Add, edit, or delete custom actions in the app, choose the built-in tools you want, and rebind the shortcut. Provider-backed results stay in the menu for review before you apply them.

Your provider

Use the model
you trust.

Choose ElevenLabs, Groq, OpenRouter, OpenAI, or a compatible custom endpoint for dictation. Normal Fn dictation only uses that speech provider. Configure a text provider separately for Smart Dictation and provider-backed Cmd + E actions.

Direct connection

Vibe Read talks to your provider. There is no Vibe Read cloud in the middle.

Your voice

Read anything
out loud.

Select text, open a saved page, or paste a note. Search your ElevenLabs voice list and preview a phrase before choosing, or keep everything offline with a voice already on your Mac.

Reading selection

Local by default.

History stays on your Mac. Processing goes only to the providers you choose.

On your MacLocal only

Keep history
on your Mac.

Recent dictations stay in local history so you can copy or retry them. Nothing is written to a Vibe Read cloud database. Normal dictation sends audio only to your dictation provider. Smart Dictation also uses your chosen text provider.
